As we launch our second century, the College is as vibrant and as important as ever.
As a Catholic, coeducational college in the heart of Boston’s educational, scientific, cultural and medical communities, Emmanuel stands at a unique crossroads: Of knowledge and know-how. Of faith and reason. Of small classes and world-class opportunities for research and scholarship. Of all that history can teach us and all the demands and possibilities of the future. As a result, students receive an extraordinary preparation for a range of endeavors and careers, including some not yet imagined.
In recent years, the College has established new majors and minors in rising fields, introduced guaranteed internships throughout Boston, and expanded opportunities for undergraduate students to collaborate with faculty on leading-edge research and scholarship. Many of these innovative learning experiences capitalize on the College’s close proximity to leading organizations in business, biomedicine, education, finance, technology, media, social services and many other fields.
Creativity. Agility. Innovation. These have been in Emmanuel's DNA from the beginning. As it enters its second century, the College continues to anticipate the evolving needs of students and professions, while sustaining its fundamental commitments to the liberal arts and sciences, to intellectual inquiry, to a strong sense of community and to service rooted in Catholic values.
