As we celebrate our Centennial, we look back upon Emmanuel College's 100 years of impact in the Fenway and beyond and recommit ourselves to a second century of service.

In 1919, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur women with hearts as wide as the world founded Emmanuel College, the flagship SNDdeN institution of higher education in New England. Today, members of the Emmanuel community continue to live out the mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame through education, a commitment to social justice and a longstanding tradition of service to the wider Boston community.

Community service is a vital piece of the Emmanuel College experience.

Last year, 80 percent of our student body participated in volunteer activities, resulting in more than 50,000 hours of service to the community. For six consecutive years, Emmanuel earned distinction on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

Join the Centennial Service Challenge

Throughout 2019, we ask our alumni and the Emmanuel community to join us in the Centennial Service Challenge. To kick off this initiative, alumni were welcomed to join the annual MLK Jr. Day of Service & Reflection and volunteer at sites throughout Boston alongside Emmanuel students, faculty and staff.

You can also volunteer in your own communities throughout the year. Please indicate the number of volunteer hours you pledge to complete throughout 2019 in the form below and see the amazing results we can achieve when we work together.
